Information for Members and Prospective Members

Membership is open to any woman who aspires to the goals of CFUW. Email us for more information (cfuwnorthbay@gmail.com) or contact our membership chair, Sue Fisher (fishers_300@hotmail.com)

Copy the membership form for 2023-24 and mail completed forms to Sue Fisher, 326 Silver Lady Lane, North Bay, ON P1B 8G4.

From here too you can access other information important to members and prospective members such as what to expect at general meetings (program for 2023-24). You will also find programs for five previous years.

If you are considering answering the call for members to join the executive, you can check out the list of our current executive and also job descriptions for executive members.

You can also read our constitution to become familiar with the rules that govern our club.

CFUW North Bay belongs to CFUW National and along with Ontario Council provides publications to keep us informed.  Find out how you can sign up for Club Action Newsletters and CFUW Ontario Council News.

A good way to find out what our club has done in the past 10 years is to read our annual reports available on this website in two parts: annual reports 2013-17 and annual reports 2018-23.  If you are required to write an annual report in the spring, these will help you.

Get to know your club’s history by checking out its milestones. There is information about

how we celebrated our 80th anniversary and earlier highlights as well.  You will find a slide show of the items in our North Bay Museum display that took place in the fall of 2022 as a special event celebrating our 80th anniversary.  Just click on the 80th anniversary link.

History of CFUW Banner

The quilted banner whose shadow you can see on this page was designed in the late 1980s by a well known local artist, Janet Bourgeau, who was a CFUW North Bay member at the time. It was quilted by Doris Toswell, still a member of the club.
